What is Masonry?
Freemasonry is the world’s oldest and largest fraternal organization. It is a brotherhood or society of men from all social and economic classes coming together for the sole purpose of making good men better. Better for themselves, better for their families, better for their communities and better men for their God.

Masonry provides...
- A place where you can confidently trust every person and trust your family with them also.
- A place where, within moral and civil guidelines; free thought, free speaking and the spiritual growth of man, can grow into its fullest potential.
- A place to meet outstanding individuals from all walks of life, that a person would not otherwise have had the opportunity to know and call brother.
- A place to be part of an organization which has for its principal tenets – Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth.
- A place that provides self-development opportunities, leadership training and experience, and to improve public speaking skills.
- A place you can go to seek support as well as give it.
- A place where moral virtues are taught and through these teachings a regular reinforcement of the moral virtues is experienced.
- A place to spend time with a group of brothers, who by acting as good men, make me want to become a better man. Not better than others, but better than I would have otherwise been.
- A place to become better equipped to serve Church and community.
- A place to meet with established members of the community and to become a part of the community.
How Do I Become A Mason?
Becoming a Mason is a process that begins by filling out what we refer to as a "Petition (Application) for Membership." A Petition can be obtained by contacting any of our members. If you do not know a member, the form can be downloaded by clicking on the following link: Petition for Membership, or by contacting our Secretary via email (click here) or Worshipful Master (click here). As soon as the petition is completed, submit it (along with the initiation fee) to the person who gave it to you, or to our Secretary or Worshipful Master.
Your petition will then be read at our next regularly scheduled meeting (which we refer to as Stated Communication), and voted on at the following Stated Communication. If your petition receives a favorable result, you will be contacted by a member of the lodge to schedule your initiation.
You become a Mason by being initiated in three separate, distinct and progressive ceremonies, called “degrees” (Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master Mason). Traditionally, each degree is conferred at three different meetings by the lodge you are joining. In addition to the traditional method of becoming a Mason on three separate days/nights, you can become a Mason by taking all three degrees in one day at one of the Grand Master’s One-Day Classes, which are generally held in different geographic regions in the state.
